The International Freeski Film Festival (IF3) was founded in 2007 as a way to unite an ever-expanding ski culture of people who share a burning passion for this sport. IF3 wanted to give voice and visual screening to those who couldn't make it on their own. Since then, IF3 has become the largest annual gathering of independent skiers, cinematographers, photographers, brands and artists alike. IF3's mission is to 'search, recognise and reward the best of what the freeski community and spirit has to offer. To produce innovative and entertaining events and media that unites sport with culture, for both a local and international audience.'
IF3 began in Montreal but is rapidly evolving to other places including: Whistler, Denver and Japan. And now, the UK is becoming part of the gang too. On Thursday 2nd October, Subzero Events will be bringing IF3 to the UK for the very first time - The Clapham Grand in London to be precise. There will be ski movies galore, meet-and-greets with featured athletes, sponsors stalls, prizes to win and, of course, an afterparty apres-style.
